Terms and Conditions
Summary
1. After first hour, our hourly rates are
charged in half-hour increments.
2. There is a minimum charge of £60.00 for goods going to the recycle
tip.
3. Extra payment of £8.00 required if travelling through the London
congestion charge.
4. Parking must be arranged and is the responsibility of the customer.
Any parking fines must be paid by the customer to the Driver on completion of
the job.
5. Jobs running over the estimated completion time will be charged at half
hour increments.
6. Payments must be made at completion of
the job unless otherwise agreed.
7. Job arrival times are estimated. We do our best to
be on time, circumstances out of our control may cause delays.
8. We accept no responsibility for loss or damage to
property after the job is completed and payment is received.
Parking
Providing parking is the responsibility of the customer, (try to reserve a space
for the van outside before it arrives or call the local council and get a suspension
or permit where necessary) if there is no parking pre-arranged any parking fines
received will be the responsibility of the customer and must be paid by the customer
on completion of removal.
Congestion & Toll Charges
There will be an extra charge of £8.00 when passing through the London
Congestion Charge Zone or other congestion charge zones and tolls will be charged
accordingly. (Unless otherwise agreed in writing).
Payment Requirements
Payment for your job must be made on immediate completion. Unless otherwise agreed.
Delivery Times/Arrivals
We will do our best to arrive within the time scale stated, however arrival times
are estimated.
Delays to pick-up/delivery times are sometimes unavoidable (due to traffic accidents,
weather etc).
We do not accept any responsibility for any customer losses due to unforeseen
or out of our control delivery/pick-up delays.
Unforeseen Circumstances
We reserve the right to add extra costs due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g.
waiting for keys or gaining entry, incorrect addresses, removal of windows and
so on).
Insurance during removals and storage
Our Insurance polices are not new for old.
We are fully insured ("for hire or reward insurance") to provide these services.
We carry our own separate insurance ("goods in transit insurance") for your possessions
whilst they are being carried by us.
Each removal and storage job is covered for loss or damage to standard maximum £5,000
of our customers' possessions, unless otherwise agreed, subject to an initial
excess charge of £250.00 per claim. We can offer cover for your items up
to a value of £50,000 subject to written agreement prior to the commencement
of removal.
It is the sole responsibility of our customers to ensure they have the correct
insurance for their possessions whilst being removed or during storage.
Please note our insurance underwriters will not accept any claim for damage of
flat pack style; unit/system/wardrobes, shelves, beds or sofas etc, save for
the items being part of a total loss of load claim.
Changes in item numbers or size of your removal
You may incur extra charges if the actual amount of items on the day exceeds
the amount of items that were included in your quote.
Your Responsibilities
We accept no responsibility for damage or breakage to items that have not been
packed by us or protected by adequate means by you.
It is the customers responsibility, unless otherwise agreed to dismantle and
reassemble all items, unless otherwise agreed .
Whilst are willing and happy to dismantle any unit/system/flat pack furniture
or beds etc if requested on the day of your removal, please note our insurance
conditions above for flat pack style furniture i.e. there is no cover for damage
save for the items being part of a total loss of load.
It is the customers responsibility to ensure that all items will fit in the new
premises (e.g. size of sofa and size of aperture).
Our drivers are not insured to remove doors or windows in such cases and it is
the customers responsibility to organise a specialist if needed.
Vehicle access must be reasonable
to ensure safe removal
Should there be no parking available within reasonable close proximity to the
properties or there are cramped stair and hallway conditions where large items
of furniture such as sofas will not fit this must be advised at the time of booking
our services. Surcharges may be applied if not agreed at the time of booking. Cancellation and Postponement
If you postpone or cancel after your booking is confirmed we reserve the right
to levy a charge up to 50% of the estimated cost of the removal If you postpone
or cancel within 24hours of the date of the job you will be charged the value
of the job in full. We reserve the right to cancel or change dates and times.
